Sabotage

she came from the bathroom,

herself she’d just weighed,

she’d nothing to show for the effort she’d made,

she thought of the hunger, temptation and moods,

she couldn’t enjoy her favourite foods!

she knew she must keep up, if only for him,

he told her he’d spent his lunch-hour at the gym,

though she wasn’t convinced he’d suit being thin!

so she put extra butter on his morning toast,

and made him a supper of things he liked most,

later that evening their bellies so filled,

they snoozed by the telly,

stuff being strong willed!
